Today, the international community is confronting with numerous challenges ranging from security to socio-economic issues. The major cause of these problems is anarchy in international arena as there is no authority above states to regulate their interaction and ensure world order. As a result, the nations have territorial, economic, political and other disputes with each other. Sometimes the rival states entre into war in order to settle their disputes by military means. Therefore, the environment of consistent confrontation is real hurdle in our way towards peace and prosperity. The very purpose of Asian Peace Institute (AP)) is to provide an open forum for all stakeholders to discuss issues affecting peace, security and prosperity in Asia and beyond with the aim to find out their solution. At present, the organization operates from Islamabad but it plans to ensure its presence in other capitals of Asia and other parts of the world in future.
